Eco School

At Beckfoot Nessfield we are passionate about engaging young people in environmental education and action. We are committed to the Beckfoot Trust Environmental Strategy aimed at facilitating change at an organisation level. Staff and students across all 10 Trust schools met together to share what we can do to be more environmentally friendly. The CEO and Trust headteachers commit to

• Reduce the Trust’s carbon footprint

• Become responsible consumers from procurement to waste management;

• Work towards becoming a single-use plastic-free organisation by 2023

• Change behaviours and attitudes of members of our community and empower them to demand change in other areas of their lives.

Here at Beckfoot Nessfield we have a school of Eco-Warriors! We held our Eco-Day in May 2021. The children were challenged to

• To go litter picking in their local area

• To turn an unwanted item into something useful

• To make a plastic promise
