Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Increased Covid Precautions in Phase 2

18th January 2022

Dear Families

Increased Covid Precautions in Phase 2

We have seen an increase in the number of positive Covid 19 cases across Phase 2 and are closely monitoring the situation alongside Beckfoot Trust and the Local Authority. In order to continue to ensure children in Hazel, Elder and Holly classes can continue to learn in school we are enhancing our day to day Covid 19 management plan for Phase 2.

We will continue to ensure classrooms are well ventilated and children and staff follow good respiratory and hand hygiene. Staggered break and lunchtimes will continue with further reduced mixing in corridors and shared spaces for Phase 2. We have also planned the school day to minimise contact between Hazel, Elder and Holly classes. Additional cleaning will continue at lunchtime in classrooms, shared areas and toilets.

In order to support us in taking all precautions and keeping children learning in school, we need your help. Please can we request that you:

· Maintain social distancing when dropping off and collecting children and advise the use of face coverings unless exempt.

· Test your child using LFT, daily if possible. We have had a number of positive cases where children have had no Covid 19 symptoms, regular testing will help to identify these cases.

· Do not send your child to school with any Covid 19 symptoms: persistent cough, high temperature or change in/ loss of taste or smell.

· Get a PCR test if your child has these Covid 19 symptoms · Continue to report positive LFT and PCR tests via the email address.

These additional precautions in Phase 2 will be reviewed on 28th January. If cases continue to rise, we will review sooner in response to the change in situation and keep you informed of any changes. Our aim is to ensure children and staff can continue to be safe in school. If we all follow these additional precautions, we can help prevent further positive cases and minimise disruption to learning for our children.

If you need help with any of the above please contact us. Thank you for your continued support.
